Ok, let me start from the beginning. I have just received these new natural soy candles from

These are 3x2 oz. They are not  big candles but they are made with quality and I appreciate that.

I am head over heels for the Gingerbread and Candy Cane scented candles, as for the Christmas Tree scent, I could go with out it. I am more of a sweet scented candle lover.

Have you guys ever tried any products from Inst Naturals?

They are another great company I have been working with.

Today I am going to review two of their products.

STRETCH MARK & SCAR CREAM

The first product I want to share with you is Instanaturals Stretch Mark & Scar Cream.

This product is used for the prevention and reduction of stretch mark and scars. 

It contains vitamin C, cocoa butter rosehip seed oil, mango butter, grape seed oil and evening primrose oil.

These are all great natural ingredients. It improves natural elasticity in skin and helps diminish those tiger stripes and ugly scar lines.

I hate to admit it, but after 3 kids, I do not have the same body i had 20 years ago.

I have been using this cream now for two weeks. I apply it twice a day to my stretch marks and cesarean scar. In two weeks I have noticed a very light difference. My lines are seeming to fade but very lightly. I would recommend this product to someone who is expecting or about to have surgery. 

I really think it is more of a preventive cream, I wish I had this 20 years ago.

Good Morning everyone! Happy Sunday!
How did your week go? Well mine has been busy, busy, busy!
The holiday season is just upon us and it is starting full blast with so many events!
I haven't been online much, been taking time for the family and reviewing some new products I want to share with you. So today I am going to be sharing a few reviews, mostly about new skin care lines.

I have been using this new face cream from Morea Naturals. It is a hyaluronic acid age defying serum with power antioxidants, vitamin C & green tea.

I have been applying it at night before I go to bed.

It is very light weight and I can't even tell I have it on.

I used it for about a week and I noticed my skin is a little brighter and seems more hydrated. It also did seem to lighten up my dark circles around my eyes.

My skin does feel smoother and I love that it has vitamin C and green tea. Green tea seems to have a lot of benefits that go inside and out.

I am only 36, and I do take pretty good care of my skin, so I wasn't that surprised there was no big wow factor. I think I am going to hold on to this and try using it more when there winter months become really harsh and start to dry out my skin.

ThinkFun Shell Game

Happy Monday Everyone. I am off to a late start today. I have had my niece and nephew staying with us and it has been a roller coaster of a ride. 5 kids plus other house guests all under one roof while cooking, cleaning, blogging, getting ready for Halloween and planning a birthday party? This game is made for 1 player, but let me tell you it is fairly easy to improvise. I easily switched it up so the kids were playing on teams. Of course it was girls against boys.

It was cool to watch the kids play, some of them got it faster then others.
It was recommended for ages 8 and up, but my son is 6 and he got the hang of it.
The challenges are addicting, after the kids went to bed, I played it a little by myself. I was so tired and I really didn't want to stop.

Less then Two Week Until Halloween

Can you believe that there is less then 2 weeks until Halloween?

Last night I finally broke down and bought my sons costume online. I had to pay extra for expedited shipping but, it was well worth the peace of mind. So all 3 costumes are finally handled.

Next step is pumpkins.

Like I said yesterday, we have family over until Monday, so I really don't think we are going to make it to the pumpkin patch anytime soon, but it is weighing heavily in the back of my mind.

If you haven't got your pumpkins yet, I found some really great pumpkin picking tips from Care.com

* Avoid Mushy Pumpkins. Pumpkin should be firm all over

* No brown spots, even the tiniest brown spot could mean bugs have burrowed

* Go orange, discoloration is OK, but green could indicate something is wrong

* Good stems are hard, dark green to black

* Pay attention to shape, round/oval pumpkins make great canvases and more seeds for roasting

* Check for damage, this can affect the life of the pumpkin

Halloween Safety Tips 

With everything that is going on, us parents can sometimes get busy and overlook things. 

I just wanted to share some quick safety tips with you guys.

* Decorate costumes and treat bags with reflective tape 

* Be sure to have kids use flashlights or glow sticks to be easily seen by drivers

* Non-toxic face paint is better then a mask that a child may have trouble seeing out of

* Children under 12 should always be supervised

*  Make sure older children stay in groups and well lit areas

* When selecting a costume, make sure it fits correctly to avoid trips and falls

ANIMALS

Please remember, while Halloween is full of fun , sweets, parties, and excitement for us, it is not always the same for our pets.

Keep a close eye on your pets this time of year. If possible bring them in the home for the night. Halloween can be scary for them. People running through neighborhoods wearing costumes and invading their territory, anything could happen to your pet or a trick or treater.

Make sure there is no candy laying around or left out where your pet could get a hold of it.

Halloween is time where you never really know what may happen; trick, pranks & loud sounds can put your pet on edge.

HAPPY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17TH!!

Hey folks, TGIF! October is now officially half over. Wow, is time going by fast or what? I have been busy, busy, busy, but still I haven't seemed to complete anything 100%. This is a huge pet peeve for me, as I am somewhat OCD. The past few nights I have waken up in the middle of the night thinking about things that need done. I have promised myself I will do it this weekend but I remembered we have my brothers family coming to stay the weekend. It's going to be hectic.Sometimes I feel as if I need an extra 8 hours a day.

Anyone having any Halloween parties coming up? Have you got your costumes yet? Do you even know what you want to be? Have kids? What are they going as? My oldest (17) is going to be a princess. I think its great, compared to last year when she tried to go as a Victoria's Secret Angel.

My 12 year old is a horror freak like me. Don't worry, she can handle it. Every Halloween she tries to go above and beyond in the "scariness". This year we have decided to go with "Annabelle" . We tried a make up tutorial we saw on YouTube last weekend, she is going to look awesome! I have linked the video to my Google+ page.

My youngest hasn't completely decided on his costume. We are either going to go Angry Birds or Ninja. It will be decided on this weekend. The day after Halloween is also his birthday. He will be 7. 

Don't judge me, but I haven't even got his party together. I'm thinking pizza party or McDonald's. Hopefully they still have some available spots for his actual birthday. No worries, it will be handled this weekend.

Anyone have any cool plans for this weekend? Want to bring me a Mojito? I could definitely use one!

The Smart Weigh Pro Pocket Scale is a very nice looking scale and works great. It is very light weight and very easy to read. Ii love that it has a well lit LED back light that lets you read what your weighing very easily.
It is great to have on hand for postage, and coins.
I am not going to brag and say that this is the best scale I have ever used, but it is also not the worst.
I was a little disappointed that the batteries seemed to die out within a few hours, and when I went to replace them I had the hardest time replacing the battery cover.
It also seems so lightweight that I don't know how long it will last, but that could just be my personal opinion.
By the way, it does have a two year warranty.
Other then that, I think it is a scale that is very capable of doing it's job.

It Is The Complete Package

So I have had this baby for a few weeks now, and I love that it comes in red. It makes it easy to see and it matches my kitchen, but if I were you I would keep it in its case. This thing is sharp! Probably a lot sharper then most of my kitchen knives. I have used it for cakes, fudge, pork chops and roasting chicken. Usually I second guess myself when it comes to cooking meats, and I always seemed to over cook them. My motto was better safe then sorry. Now that I have the Precision Elite Food Thermometer, I can make perfectly cooked food. My chicken was so juicy, I wanted to eat the whole thing.

I am actually a little disappointed. I was shocked that even though its a holiday, the kids still had school today, but what can you do?

Anybody else excited tonight for The Walking Dead Season 5 Premiere?

I know this is a family blog but I just wanted to share my excitement with everyone. My family and I are actually all pretty obsessed with The Walking Dead. 

You know I don't like to give spoilers away so I will try and be as vague as possible when describing last seasons episodes but they were off the chain!

Last season (4) totally ended with a bang (literally)! We learned so much about the characters, who they are, and who they were. It really brought us the viewers closer to our favorite characters.

There were a couple episodes that we watched last season that completely shocked us, leaving us with our mouths wide open and speechless. Then there are the episodes where we actually jump up from the couch screaming with excitement! That's what I love about this show, it pulls us in so many different directions.

If you haven't noticed The Walking Dead is now pretty much a phenomenon that is sweeping the world.

Pretty much any where you go , people are talking about it.  I took my son to the barber shop and the two male barbers were actually holding a conversation and betting on who is going to meet their demise in the season 5 premiere, I had to put in my two cents and let them know that it better not be my favorite character Daryl Dixon played by Norman Reedus.

The Walking Dead premiers tonight on AMC at 9:00 PM

We had thought it would be fun to share with all the other kids and add some color to the night. My kids took turns passing out one glow stick bracelet and fastener to all their peers. It was really cute to see my 6 year old son passing these out, especially to girls his age.
The other kids and their parents seemed quite thrilled to receive these.
Once the sun set, you could see neon colors popping everywhere.
Most of the time the colors were very bright but I did notice a few colors starting to fade quickly. I also got a few complaints that the bracelets actually leaked a few times, you could see evidence of this on the grass and sidewalk, however the colors were beautiful.
It seemed as if the bracelets lasted only about 5 or 6 hours before completely dying out.
For the most part, it was a lot of fun and the kids really appreciated it.
If you check them out on Amazon, you will see they have a really good deal going for 100 of them.
Most of the time we buy these from our dollar stores and they are $1.00 Each.
These would be great for school carnivals, class parties or even to pass out to Trick or Treaters.
