NICKELODEON'S WORLD WIDE DAY OF PLAY

DID YOU SEE THIS TODAY?

Chances are if you have children, your children watch Nickelodeon, and if they do watch Nickelodeon then chances are that you have already heard of Nickelodeons annual Worldwide Day Of Play!

Nickelodeon has taken it upon themselves today, September 20th, 2014 to go on a black out from 12-3:00Pm to help get kids more active and encourage children to play outside!

Well hats off to Nickelodeon for this!

I personally think that it is awesome!

Many different agencies are also taking part like museums and parks. Check your area or local paper!

Unfortunately nothing special was popping off in my area, but my kids were super excited to participate in WorldWide Day Of Play, especially since last year it was raining.

Well, now what do do after you drop the tv, phones, video games, tablets, etc..?

GET OUTSIDE AND PLAY!

As you know we live in California and its still about 95 degrees today so we decided to go bowling!

 

It was actually a really good deal. Two children plus shoe rental was only 12.50. A & A had alot of fun. My teenage daughter didn't join us because, well she is a teen and everything I do is stupid. Haha!
After Bowling, We decided to go to the park for a few hours. We decided to walk and enjoy the great outdoors and eachothers company.

Today was a really great day with the kids and I'm really proud of Nickelodeon for helping our kids get active. I really wish all of the television stations would get involved and help promote Worldwide Day of Play!
However, when it really comes down to it it is us, the parents who need to get in the habit of playing outside more with our kids!
I have now decided it is time, more then once a year to get out and have fun!
Get out, get fresh air!
